We were on our summer vacation on the island of Cyprus in the Mediterranean, when on July 14th, 2016, Alec and I decided to spend the day renting a yacht and cruising along the coast of the island with some of our friends and family. Little that I knew, Alec was waiting for the right moment to ask me to spend the rest of our lives together. It was a magical moment that I will always embrace and never forget.
About the Dress
Kleinfeld Consultant:
Lisa Fuhrman
Dennis Basso designed the wedding dress of my dreams. The moment I saw the elegant, satin off white wedding gown, I knew that it was the one. My wedding dress took me back to the Medieval Renaissance era which was fully fitting to the theme of our wedding. It is a truly classical gown with a ruched bodice, beading and belted waist, all satin ball gown with cascading ruffle accent. The Kleinfeld brand handmade full beading veil is absolutely gorgeous, adding romanticism and glamour to the classic one of a kind wedding gown.
About the Wedding
Married:
December 27, 2017 //
Location:
Limassol, Cyprus //
Venue:
Saint Napa Cathedral
Our wedding took place in Limassol, Cyprus, where I am originally from. Our wedding ceremony took place in the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Ayia Napa, which is right in the center of the old town of Limassol, and by the Mediterranean sea, on December 27th, 2017. After 6 years of dating, we were thrilled to have our friends and family from the US, and Europe celebrate with us the beginning of our new lives as a Mr. and Mrs. Velasco. My groom, Alec was dressed in his U.S. Army Officer Dress Mess Tuxedo. Our reception, dinner, and party took place in the Carob Mill venue and Museum right next to the Limassol Medieval Castle. A historic building which dates back to the Medieval times, built solely out of stone, travels you back in time. Our wedding colors of white and gold, with some burgundy touches added romanticism and elegance to our wedding venue.
