We got married on October 14, 2023. It was a rainy day, but that did not get in the way of having the absolute best day of my life. My hair and make-up team at Glambar arrived at 6 am. They worked so hard to ensure everyone looked perfect. I kept the dress a secret for a whole year and did a first look with my bridesmaids which was everything I expected and more. They cheered, cried, laughed and it was an amazing experience. I then did a first look with my dad which was such a special and emotional moment that I will never forget. I was picked up in a Rolls Royce with my parents to go to the church. When I got to the church, I just couldn’t wait to get inside and see my groom, especially to have my groom see me. The priest came out to get me and my father and escorted us inside. I grabbed onto my father’s arm and walked down the aisle to see John smiling back at me. When I got to the end of the aisle, I gave my dad a kiss, then he hugged John and gave my hand to him. I couldn’t believe it was really happening. John helped me up the alter and told me that I looked beautiful. We exchanged our vows and said “I do!” We were so happy walking back down the aisle.
After church, we went to Belvedere Estate in Tarrytown with our bridal party for pictures. The estate was beautiful and romantic. The pictures turned out amazing. After the pictures, it was time to party! We headed to Mulinos for the reception.
The room was absolutely beautiful. My entire vision came to life. The centerpieces from Westchester Floral were even more beautiful than I could have imagined, they stood out in the room. Agwallofbeauty provided a beautiful green flower wall with white roses and a “just married” LED sign behind the sweetheart table. Alphalit provided 4ft Marque letters that said “THE DRENGAS” for in front of the sweetheart table. The ceiling said our names and they had a light tech on site the entire night. It could not have looked more perfect.
I had my hair stylist come to change my hair style into a party ponytail, so I could dance the night away. We entered the reception dancing together with everyone spinning their napkins and rooting us on! We did our first dance to “Growing Old With You” by Restless Road. We danced on the clouds and had sparklers going off in the back. John lifted me up and kissed me for everyone to see. After all the speeches and parent dances, we partied the entire night. We got on stage and sprayed everyone with CO2. Everyone was dancing and having the best time! My brother even surprised me with a same day edit for everyone to watch after dinner. It was truly the best night of my life! The professional pictures that came back showed everyone smiling, laughing, and clapping. It was an honor to be surrounded by family and friends celebrating our love.
