The proposal was on by far the hottest day of the year! John was wearing a suit and decided to take take me on a stroll in Central Park. When we got to the bow bridge, he gave me a card to read. This isn’t at all different from the norm for us – John writes me a love letter every month since we have been together, and this seemed no different at first. But it was definitely a fancy card, and I was already suspicious because he was wearing a suit in the heat! After I read its long message of spending the rest of our lives together, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the best moment of my life thus far. After a secret photographer popped out, we had a photoshoot as fiancés around the park shortly after. It was beautiful.
About the Dress
The dress is stunning with the most intricate beading I’ve ever seen. Pnina Tornai was at Kleinfeld’s that day, and after I had put the dress on, I just knew it was the one. Pnina custom made a few extra details for me, lace in the front, lining all the way to the bottom, and more beading in the back. The veil matched the dress perfectly.
About the Wedding
Married:
July 14, 2018 //
Location:
Santorini //
Venue:
Cavo Ventus Villa & Theros Wave Bar
The wedding was in beautiful Santorini in July. We somehow managed to have 140 people fly out for a three day event we held there. We had a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony in a church in Oia, and then the reception with fireworks at night. The event lasted til t3AM, where we danced away with family and friends. We made sure to have a band, DJ, and top it off with a wonderful saxophone player!
