We’re from Rochester, NY and there’s a small garden in the city called the poets garden where I would come to read and write on occasion. One evening he tells me, “let’s take a walk to the poets garden, the leaves are starting to fall and it would be nice scenery for some photos” we take photos of everything so I didn’t think much of it. We got to the garden and it was perfect. Quiet, cool, and no one but him and I. I started to take photos of some red roses that were beginning to wither and when I turned around he was on one knee asking me to become his wife. He knew this was exactly how I’d want to be proposed to. And I’ve been the happiest girl ever since.
About the Dress
Kleinfeld Consultant:
Brandy
I came to Kleinfeld with my sisters and mother looking for a mermaid style dress that was simple yet elegant with some lace and a little embroidery. I tried on multiple dresses, in which I didn’t feel were the one and I didn’t have that feeling all other brides told me I’d have. I was so stuck on the mermaid style I didn’t explore any other options. But there it was hanging on a rack in the main salon. It had an embroidered corset and lace on the bottom. One problem, it wasn’t a mermaid style dress, it was a ballgown. I tried it on and loved it. The tailor walked in my room and told me he could turn it into a mermaid silhouette if I’d like. It made my vision a reality! I got the feeling all the brides I know said I’d get! I even cried! Thank you Kleinfeld bridal crew!
About the Wedding
Married:
August 3, 2019 //
Location:
Webster NY //
Venue:
White House
The wedding was all I wanted and more. It was an outdoor/indoor reception over looking a lake. My decor theme was vintage with a touch of rustic. Teacups, pearls, macaroons, fresh flowers, everything that could possibly remind you of France in the early 1900’s. That’s the vibe I wanted for myself and my guests. We had a live band playing nothing but old classics which brought everything together and we all had the most wonderful time. I wish I could relive it!
