Kleinfeld Love Stories

Blake proposed on the top of Mount Nittany, the symbolic mountain representing the Penn State Nittany Lions, on July 31st, 2015, exactly one year from our first date. Blake suggested we fulfill a “hike and picnic date card” I had given him because football season was quickly approaching, not to mention it was a beautiful night. At the base of the mountain we ran into one of Blake’s friends that also happens to be in the production business like Blake. Due to the gorgeous, uncharacteristic weather, I didn’t think twice about him also taking the hike. After catching our breath, Blake asked me to join him on a log bench to continue to take in the breathtaking view. Blake then told me he had made something for me, a video of memories from the last year we had shared and at the end, “Will you marry me?” popped up on the screen. This was just the beginning of the proposal though! Blake then proceeded to get down on one knee where he expressed a heartfelt, truly thought out, proposal leaving me in tears and utter shock! The answer was of course, “Yes, yes yes!”. I then found out that was Blake’s second hike of the day with his friend to ensure this was THE spot to make my dreams come true, there were two cameras taking still pictures and even a video camera that captured this perfect moment on video! What could make this even better you ask? Blake was mic’d up the entire time so we have this memory to look back on for the rest of our happy lives together!

My experience was a little different then most when I set foot in Kleinfeld’s for the first time to look for my dress. I had been their just 2 months before in search for my sisters wedding dress. She got engaged just 6 days after me and her wedding was 3 months prior to mine. We both had the honor of working with Camille and truly felt like we were the only bride’s she had ever worked with considering the excitement she brought to helping us find our gowns. She brought out a brand new Sottero Midgley dress that no one else in the store had ever tried on and I instantly fell in love. Although I had a vision in mind, Camille had me tried on a number of different styles just to make sure what I had envisioned for myself was exactly what made me feel the most beautiful.

Our wedding was held at the Treasury on the Plaza, which was the most stunning, historic venue in St. Augustine, Florida. Our wedding day was full of love, laughter, dancing, and the most contagious energy. Being surrounded by our loved ones was just the beginning of our dream wedding coming to life. From the gorgeous dress, stunning flowers, delectable food and a dance floor that was packed the entire night to the sparkler exit and horse and carriage ride to see us off, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. We started our new life together with the party of the century was a dream come true.
