After a long, hot, humid August week, Emily and Jon planned to meet friends for drinks on a Friday after work. As the afternoon turned to evening, the two met outside of the Union League Club in midtown New York desperately seeking the reprieve of air conditioning.
After a bit of misdirection, Jon convinced Emily to sneak onto the roof of the Club, while they waited for the “friends” to arrive. Arriving on the roof, a table was set with a bucket of Emily’s favorite champagne and two flutes – and Jon dropped to a knee asking her to make him the luckiest man in the world. At this moment, stories above the busy Friday rush hour traffic, they were the only two people in the world that knew…aside from the photographer 😉
About the Dress
Kleinfeld Consultant:
Leanne Fitzgerald
After many weeks of searching for the perfect dress, I ultimately said “yes to the dress” at Kleinfeld Bridal alongside the fabulous Allison Webb! I came to Kleinfeld interested in trying on the Camilla gown, and actually learned that day that it was the Allison Webb trunk show and that she’d be there in person! I tried on the gown and Allison immediately came over to hear my thoughts – she was so sweet and genuine! We ended up discussing customizing the gown to make the skirt all one length. I was so excited! I came back two days later to try the dress on one more time, which was thankfully the last day of the trunk show. Allison talked me through exactly what she was going to do, including where she was going to place the lace details on the new skirt. She made me feel so comfortable and was there to give me a big hug when I said “yes to the dress”! It’s an experience I will never forget!
About the Wedding
Married:
November 9, 2019 //
Location:
St. Augustine, Florida //
Venue:
Treasury on the Plaza
We were married in the romantic, historic, and coastal town of St. Augustine, Florida on November 9th, 2019. What we loved about St. Augustine was the walkability and the fact that the church was next door to our reception venue, Treasury on the Plaza. Guests stayed within 2 blocks of the venue and we absolutely loved being able to walk around the small town and see all of our closest friends and family!
After our traditional ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour inside the Treasury. Dinner and dancing followed in the beauitful historic ballrorom, complete with a vault bar from when the venue used to be a bank!
