Mike recreated our third date, which was at an outdoor ice skating rink in Philly – it even snowed the perfect amount! Mike called that our “snow glow” date and although he proposed in September, he transformed our top floor apartment balcony into a snowy rink complete with twinkling lights. He even had our favorite doorman up on the roof with a snow machine!
About the Dress
Designer:
Allure Bridals
The dress was a simple strapless gown by Allure (style no. 9458). I had hoped for a simple long sleeve gown without any embellishment, but a trip to Kleinfeld found me the unexpected but right dress – a simple, fitted strapless gown with lace on the train. Since we had a winter wedding, I paired it with gloves and a capelet while outdoors.
About the Wedding
Married:
January 12, 2019 //
Location:
Philadelphia //
Venue:
The Down Town Club by Cescaphe
The ice skating date that inspired Mike’s proposal also inspired the wedding. Our wedding date was the same as our first date and we planned a traditional wedding in our hometown of Philadelphia. The city location was special to us and offered easy access to transportation and the wedding locations, which made things easier for guests, especially if it snowed.
We enjoyed a beautiful view of the city while we celebrated with our family and friends. One of the most special moments of the night was when we left to head home, it snowed – the same beautiful “snow glow” that we had on our favorite date! Photos: Denise for Lauren Fair Photography
