Dan and I had our first date on a Thursday night in New Haven at one of our now favorite restaurants (Heirloom). We had the best time – we began to get to know each other over drinks and oysters, then moved on to dinner, and even extended the date for drinks down the street. Two years later Dan was graduating from his orthopaedic residency, and I was in charge of planning the family dinner to celebrate. Dan’s mom suggested Heirloom since it was special to us. Dan proposed on his special day in front of both of our families at our favorite restaurant. It was so perfect.
About the Dress
Designer:
Pnina Tornai //
Kleinfeld Consultant:
Farrah
I booked an appointment to try on dresses in August with my mom, twin sister (maid of honor), mother-in-law, aunt, and my brother’s girlfriend. Before my appointment I spent hours browsing the Kleinfeld website so that I’d be prepared. I knew I loved Pnina dresses because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t! I fell in love with one of the Love by Pnina Tornai dresses that I found online, and I had a feeling it would be the one. It was the second dress I tried on! I had my very own “say yes to the dress” moment and even got to meet Pnina! We added buttons to the back of the dress which made it even more perfect. It was such an amazing experience. I also had the best seamstress, Ines, who was extremely patient with me and made all of my requests come to life.
About the Wedding
Married:
October 17, 2020 //
Location:
Clinton, CT //
Venue:
Chamard Vineyards
Our wedding was absolutely perfect. We weren’t able to have the wedding that we originally planned, but I wouldn’t have changed a thing. We had 22 of our family members and closets friends at one of our favorite Vineyards in CT. My aunt officiated the sweetest ceremony outside under the arbor, and then we went inside the barn for an intimate dinner. We spent the whole evening with our favorite people. We will still have our bigger reception next year and we can’t wait to celebrate our marriage with everyone!
