Nick planned a weekend getaway. It is not unusual for us to take long weekends so I was just excited to get away. On our way to Cape May, Nick surprised me with a pit stop at a sunflower field. I hadn’t been to a sunflower field since I was a little girl and we had wanted to do this for for a few years but always missed the window of time when the flowers were in bloom.
Thrilled to be there, I did not even see what was coming. After proposing in the midst of these gorgeous flowers, we were officially on our way to celebrate all weekend. We stopped for lunch where Nick had another surprise planned; my family was waiting to see us! I never ugly cried of happiness so hard in my life. It was the most thoughtful, special, and happy start to a beautiful chapter in our life.

I said “YES!” to the most perfect Enaura Bridal dress at Kleinfeld NYC in January 2019. I went there for my first dress shopping experience not knowing I would leave that day with the most incredible gown. There were two dresses I wanted to absolutely try on (one Lazaro and one Hayley Paige) which were both stunning but not “mine”. After that, I told the consultant I would try anything because I knew I wanted to keep all of my options open at that point. She said “anything?”. Little did I know, Sohil of Enaura Bridal, was at Kleinfeld that day for a trunk show. With the Odette gown freshly in mind, the consultant helped me step into what ultimately ended up being my absolutely stunning wedding gown. Before I even left the dressing room I knew it was THE dress.  It was truly spectacular and I’m forever grateful for the timing and magic of my appointment at Kleinfeld!

We were incredibly fortunate to get married and celebrate our wedding on February 22, 2020 in Jersey City, NJ. With our home across the Hudson, where we met and grew through our 20s together, what better location to celebrate our love with NYC as the backdrop? It was the warmest February day we could remember filled with love and laughter. We had a first look before our ceremony which was one of the best decisions we made. When Nick saw me in the Odette gown he said this dress was literally made for me. The combination of the intricate lace details and hearts beaded into the bodice and the full, fun skirt of feathers.. it was mean to be mine! After our special first look we went on to have our bridal party photos. My bridesmaids were in ivory gowns which were so elegant. They looked gorgeous. Instead of a maid of honor, my two brothers were my men of honor which was so special to me. We had a large bridal party and wouldn’t change a thing about that! In addition to the amazing views, our band was fantastic! It was beyond amazing to dance the night away in my Odette gown with my handsome husband, all our family and friends.
