Engaged:

Mark and I had been together over 6 years at the time of the proposal.  It was perfect, and I was shocked!

It was the Friday night before Christmas and we were setting up for hosting our annual ugly sweater Christmas party with friends and family the next night.  After we ate dinner and got the majority of the party planning aside, we headed to the living room for a nice night of relaxation.  Before settling in, Mark asked if I would help him water the Christmas tree – of course I would!  As I am holding the branches out of the way and he’s finishing up pouring the water in the stand underneath, he took my hand, was down on one knee, and pulled the ring out of his pocket and simply asked if I would marry him!  I was in shock and could do nothing other than yelp with joy and surprise!  What a beautiful moment it was..

The next day at the party we celebrated the engagement with all of our friends and family!

Kleinfeld Consultant:

After securing the venue and the beginning to piece together the look and feel of the wedding – I went dress shopping.  I brought along my mom, maid of honor, and two bridesmaids.  The Kleinfeld experience was truly one of a kind and I couldn’t be more happy with how I came to find my wedding dress!

My consultant was Shay, who was absolutely fantastic!  Listened to what I wanted, what my budget was, and envisioned the venue and feel of what I wanted.  The venue was an old refurbished chair factory that was built in the 1800’s.  It had a very unique, vintage, and romantic vibe – in which I wanted to capture in my dress.

This was the second dress I tried on, and of course fell in love with it!  I tried on more after that for good measure, but Shay and I both knew that was the one.  I could see myself walking down the aisle in this dress, and it was everything I wanted in a wedding gown!  I felt like an Italian Contessa in it, and it couldn’t have been more perfect!

I know it sounds cliche, but it really was the best day of our lives.  I wish we could replay that day from start to finish over and over again.  What a beautiful way to celebrate our love, and to have all of our family and friends bare witness.  The venue was one of a kind, the food was delicious, the dance floor was on fire, and the dress was perfect!  We held a beautiful and short ceremony outside by the creek and wildflowers on a beautiful 70 degree day in the Finger Lakes.

I had seven of my closest friends by my side through it all along with my mom and mother-in-law; such a fun day celebrating not only with my husband, but also with my best friends.  All of the girls wore black vera wang dresses along with a gold metal belt for an accent. Beautiful quartz blush drop earrings and simple gold bracelet as their accessories.  Blush and white hydrangeas all around with accents of blush garden roses and eucalyptus.

We drank and danced the night away; along with an outdoor cigar and spirits bar for the wedding guests.

Oh what a night!
