Kleinfeld Love Stories

Engaged:

I am obsessed with these tiny mouse statuettes called “Wee Forest Folk”.They are little depictions of mice doing various different things, so of course there is a Bride and Groom statue.  My now husband was too nervous to pick a ring for me (I am not a super girly girl, and over the course of our relationship I had never really given him much to go on), so after dinner one night, he sat me down and said he had a present for me.  He gets me these statues often, so when I saw the box I thought I was just getting another one for my collection, but as I opened the box, I soon realized that I was getting THE BEST one that my collection would ever get!  It was the Bride and Groom mouse, and at the bottom of the box was a note that read “Will You Marry Me?”  Of course I said yes! Some girls may be sad to not get a ring on the night they get a proposal, but when I finally did pick out a ring, he said it wasn’t even close to anything he would have picked, so it was the most perfect engagement after all!

I had only one dress in mind when I went to Kleinfeld for my appointment: The Elmina gown by Pronovias.  I was heart set on it.  I didn’t want to try on anything else, I was just terrified it wasn’t going to look good!  But much to my happy surprise it was stunning! I was a one and done bride!  It was the timeless, classic look I had always dreamed of!

We were married on a beautiful October day at the church that Stephen grew up going to and had our reception at a DoubleTree Hilton Hotel. We had all of our closest family and friends around us and it was the most absolute perfect day! Everything was perfect.  The weather was amazing, all the vendors showed up on time, and all of the guys and girls in our wedding party looked amazing!  It was more than we ever could have dreamed of and a day we will never forget!  We followed it up with an amazing honeymoon to New Zealand.
