On July 10th, their two year anniversary, Matthew planned an entire day in Manhattan NYC with Melissa where they walked from midtown to the DUMBO. It was in a little hidden spot of the Brooklyn Bridge Park where Matt got on one knee, the same spot they ended their day on their very first date. He opened up a wooden box he had been crafting for months, inside the box was his late grandmothers wedding ring she had passed down to him and the rest is history.
About the Dress
Kleinfeld Consultant:
Rosaria Schiano
Melissa’s wedding dress was a Lázaro #3662 that she custom designed to make her own. The amazing staff at Kleinfeld added fabric to the top part of the dress and create a beautiful neck line!
The veil by Pnina Tornai brought everything together.
About the Wedding
Married:
July 10, 2018 //
Location:
Long Island City //
Venue:
The Foundry
Matt & Mel had an intimate wedding at the Foundry in Long Island City. The venue was a perfect blend of nature meets the city, decorated with florals by Ivie Joy , planned by Jose Rolon and his exceptional team. Melissa’s hair was styled by Facetime Beauty and the flower girls hair’s hair was done by Kristen Crespo. Makeup was done by the wonderful Violet Crespo. However a perfect wedding wouldn’t be complete without the perfect photographer to capture every moment of it, so the couple had photographer Jochy Campusano fly in from Dominican Republic to be a part of the dream team.
For the ceremony their college group leader, Daniel Broberg officiated and gave some words of wisdom for the young couple. After the ceremony everyone enjoyed a great cocktail hour and reception decorated with accents of yellow and gold rentals from Patina Rentals & Broadway Rentals. Food was provided by Comparti Catering and was followed by some awesome music played by DJ Radical and Xavier Allende.
The night ended with Matt & Mel riding away in a vintage New York City taxi.
