I am a broadway performer. I have been doing Broadway musicals for over 15 years. I was in Motown: The Musical at the time of my proposal. I was expecting my then boyfriend to attend the show with my mom. Little did I know, my entire cast and management knew that my proposal was to happen that night. As we danced and sang the songs of Motown, I noticed a pair of modern Nike sneakers on the stage. I was confused, having been in the show for over a year, I knew that wasn’t within the fashion of the show. As I followed that footwear up, I realized it was my boyfriend of 6 years walking down the soul train line on stage! He got down on one knee in front of 1,700 people just as the curtain closed. I said “yes!” in the privacy of my loving cast and crew on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater!
About the Dress
Kleinfeld Consultant:
Sarah
My dress was the first dress I tried on. It was a Lazaro with a dropped-waist, mermaid silhouette. It made my curves look flawless. It was the perfect amount of sparkle without looking gaudy or overstated. It was love at first sight!
