Kleinfeld Love Stories

Engaged:

During our 2020 Valentines Day dinner, Ben told me I needed to be ready to leave the next morning at 5:10am. I knew the proposal was coming, but I thought the early morning departure time was a prank (spoiler alert: it wasn’t a prank).

At 5:10am on February 15th, we drove to a trail near Harpers Ferry, WV. It was 17 degrees outside and we bundled up under countless layers to keep from freezing. We hiked up a mountain in the darkness with only a flashlight illuminating the treacherous path. When we got to the top of the mountain, we watched a beautiful sunrise over the confluence of two rivers, Ben proposed, and I said “yes!”

I had always dreamed of going to Kleinfeld to shop for my wedding dress. Since I was 13, my dad and I liked watching Say Yes to the Dress together. After trying on several dresses at local bridal boutiques in Maryland, my parents and I drove up to NYC to visit Kleinfeld. A few weeks before the appointment, I had been browsing dresses on the Kleinfeld website and found my dream dress that was also perfectly in budget! My consultant, Sunny, reached out to me before the appointment and I asked her if I could try this dress on. When I got to Kleinfeld for my appointment, Sunny had my dress waiting for me in the fitting room, I tried it on first thing, and I walked out and cried. From that moment, I knew it was my dress! It was such an amazing experience to get my dress from Kleinfeld and it was so special that I got to share it with both of my parents.

Ben and Shannon got married on a sunny and warm Saturday in April. Ben’s uncle officiated their ceremony and the reception took place at a historic mill in Baltimore, Maryland. From the spring blossoms to the bistro lights, the wedding was a beautiful and romantic event. Ben and Shannon were grateful to be surrounded by so many family and friends to help them tie the knot.
