Norm took me to dinner where we had our first date. (Our first date was actually to a wedding 8 years prior). He told me his brother and his fiancé were looking at the venue for their upcoming wedding. After dinner, on a bridge overlooking Clove Lakes, Norm proposed. Of course, I said yes!
About the Dress
Kleinfeld Consultant:
Morgan
I knew I wanted my dress to be classic, elegant, and dramatic. After 3-4 shopping trips with no luck, I went to Kleinfeld. Morgan my consultant picked an amazing Rita Vinieris gown. It was classic satin, elegant in silhouette, and dramatic with a beautiful train. Best of all, it was super modern and sleek looking, just like the venue Norm and I had chosen. My favorite details were the buttons down the back and the pockets!!
About the Wedding
Married:
September 21, 2019 //
Location:
Hazlet, NJ //
Venue:
The Gramercy at Lakeside Manor
Norm and I were married at my family’s church in Staten Island, NY (where both of my sisters were married as well). We had a BEAUTIFUL, sunny day with almost 80 degree weather in late September. A true ‘Indian summer’ day. I had 6 bridesmaids and Norm had 8 groomsmen. Our 4 nephews were the ring bearers. We had our reception at the Gramercy at Lakeside Manor in Hazlet, New Jersey. This venue was amazing! Elegant, modern, and romantic, with awesome photo-opt locations. Our bridal party entered to the song “Forever” by Chris Brown, reenacting the scene from the “The Office”- wedding episode / you tube wedding. They were real sports! My parents entered to “Stacy’s Mom” by Fountains of Wayne. Norm and I shared our first dance to “Come to me” by the GooGoo Dolls. There was not one minute of the day that was not perfect. I was smiling the entire time, to the point that my cheeks hurt. Looking back there’s always things I’d wish I had done, or photos I wish I had taken, BUT day could not have gone any better. Everyone says “oh something always goes wrong,” and at points during the day I remember checking, waiting almost, for something to happen. BUT it was perfect. We will always remember the “twenty-first night of September.”
