Kleinfeld Love Stories: Christine & Ernesto

About the Proposal:

Engaged: May 2024

Ernesto proposed to Christine upstate NY on the Hudson River. It's their favorite place to go and it could not be more romantic. He got on one knee in a white gazebo on a warm summer morning. No one else was around and it was all about the couple and their love. Ernesto had a photographer come shortly after to take pictures of the couple. They then face-timed all of their friends and family with the news. The went into the town of Hudson for brunch at Swoon then a decadent dinner at The Maker's Serre restaurant.

About the Dress:

On the wedding day Christine wore a customized gown by Nadia Manjarrez, a woman-led atelier based in Mexico, from Kleinfeld. Randy was there to check in and accessorize Christine as well. It was a dream come true to meet him in person. The gown, a dreamscape of gathered, crinkled silk chiffon over a structured corset bodice, subtly echoes the Greco-Moorish architecture of the resort. While the hand draped silk mimicked the folds and arches and domes of Cap Juluca itself. Christine finished off her look with mesh pleated Jimmy Choo heels and her mother’s vintage gold watch from the 80s as her something old, mother in law’s diamond ring as something borrowed. And she had a blue cross charm in her cascading bouquet as her something blue. Christine has worked in Luxury Consignment industry for 10 years and could not have imagined creating a more perfect wedding weekend wardrobe filled with sustainability, pre-loved and intentional luxurious pieces.

About the Wedding:

Married: June 2026

Location: Anguilla

Venue: The Pavilion at the Belmond Cap Juluca

Photographer: Alexandra Schaede

The couple had an intimate wedding at the Belmond Cap Juluca in Anguilla. Channelling the ethereal essence of a euro coastal wedding, our celebration at the pavilion overlooking Maundays Bay was a study in intentional elegance. With the crescent-shaped beach as our muse, we embraced a palette of clean, effortless minimalism, allowing the natural beauty of Anguilla to speak for itself. Every detail was carefully chosen to enhance—not compete with—the setting: the curved dining table echoed the shape of the shoreline and like the hotel suites, ensuring every guest had an unbroken view of the sea and the setting sun. Hints of vintage, whimsical maritime charm whispered through the decor, but never shouted. As dusk fell and the glow of candlelight mingled with the golden hour, the focus shifted beautifully to what mattered most—exceptional food, soul-stirring views, and the kind of family togetherness that only this corner of the world could evoke.
