Fittings & Alterations
The magic of Kleinfeld doesn’t stop in the showroom, it continues in our couture alterations department.

Our team of 100+ experts is dedicated to delivering a truly personalized experience. You’ll be paired with one seamstress who will alter, hand-sew, and care for your gown from start to finish. No matter which alterations package you choose, you’ll work one-on-one with your personal fitter every step of the way.
When your gown arrives at Kleinfeld, you’ll receive an email or text to schedule your first fitting. Before booking, consider which of the below alterations experiences is right for you.
Signature Alterations
Services: Throughout our Signature Alterations process, your gown will be expertly hemmed, bustled, and sculpted to your shape, then steamed and professionally packaged for your wedding day. Additional services or customizations may incur an extra fee.
We kindly ask that you bring no more than three guests to your alterations appointments.
Timeline: This package includes approximately three fittings over the 2–3 months leading up to your wedding day. After your first fitting, your seamstress will schedule your second, typically 2–3 weeks later, followed by your third. Finally, your gown pick-up appointment is scheduled.
* Please note your fitting timeline may vary based on your gown and specific alteration needs.
