On behalf of the Essense of Australia team, I am thrilled to work with the Kleinfeld family to give you my best tips to ensure you have an incredible trunk show experience at Kleinfeld and find the dress of your absolute dreams.
Allow me to introduce myself—I’m Martine Harris, Chief Creative Officer and head designer for Essense of Australia, Martina Liana, Martina Liana Luxe, Stella York, and All Who Wander. As a designer, I want all of my brides to have a fabulous time wedding dress shopping—and you can rest assured Kleinfeld provides the ultimate bridal experience. Their consultants will help you find “the one” to say “YES” to.
What is a Trunk Show?
If you’re new to the world of bridal, you may not be sure what a trunk show is. A trunk show is the ultimate personal bridal shopping experience. These exclusive events are planned months in advance and showcase the newest wedding dresses from the latest collections.
During the show, Kleinfeld features these new designs, and a representative from the designer’s team is often present to share inspiration, trends, and details behind the collection.
Upcoming Trunk Shows at Kleinfeld
Kleinfeld hosts exclusive trunk show events where you can see the latest collections and try on styles not always available in-store. These events often include a wider range of sizes and customization options.
At these trunk shows, you may also have the opportunity to preview new collections, including luxury lines curated for brides with a love for detail and craftsmanship. Many gowns can be customized, and your Kleinfeld consultant will help bring your vision to life.
You’ll also be able to explore unique collections designed for different bridal styles, including options for free-spirited, fashion-forward, and classic brides alike.
Fun fact: Some of my favorite moments are witnessing brides say “YES” to one of my designs during these events. It’s truly unforgettable.
I’ve also had the opportunity to spend time with the incredible Kleinfeld team. Their expertise and passion for helping brides is unmatched, and I’m always inspired by the experience they create.
Now, here are my top tips for making the most of your trunk show appointment.
My Top 8 Trunk Show Tips to Find “The One”
1. Do your research
Explore different styles, silhouettes, fabrics, and details ahead of your appointment. Bring photos of what you love to give your consultant a strong starting point.
2. Be open to dresses outside your norm
While research is helpful, keep an open mind. Your consultant knows the full assortment and may suggest styles you wouldn’t have considered—but could end up loving.
3. Think outside the box
Use your imagination. If a dress isn’t exactly what you envisioned, customization may be an option to bring it closer to your dream gown.
4. Come prepared
Bring undergarments you feel comfortable in and plan to wear on your wedding day. Nude underwear, a strapless or convertible bra, and any shapewear are great options.
5. Bring your people, but don’t overdo it
Invite a small group of trusted loved ones. Too many opinions can be overwhelming—remember, your opinion matters most.
6. Be honest
Be clear with your consultant about what you like and don’t like. Honest feedback helps narrow down options and gets you closer to your perfect dress.
7. Be prepared to say yes
Trunk show styles may not be available after the event. If you fall in love with a gown, don’t wait too long to make your decision.
8. Take pictures
Have your guests take photos from every angle—front, back, and details—so you can remember everything you loved about the dress.
I hope these tips help you feel prepared and excited for your trunk show experience at Kleinfeld. I can’t wait to see which dress becomes part of your story.
With love,
M!

Fun fact: This was from the last trunk show I attended at Kleinfeld. I LOVE being able to experience the moment a bride says “YES” to one of my designs.
