We take a yearly long weekend trip to Vermont each September. There’s a “secret spot” on Lake Champlain we found our first year there, only a couple months after we started dating. We went back to this spot each year, and it was there that he got down on one knee and proposed.

We wanted a Vermont-feel wedding, but in our home state of Connecticut. Allen Hill Tree Farm in Brooklyn, CT had the most beautiful barn strung with lights, and a field of Christmas trees which made for a beautiful photo landscape.
