We met the classic New York way—playing on a free-agent softball team in Central Park. When it came time to propose, Matt planned the sweetest surprise: a scavenger hunt that took us to all the places that had been meaningful throughout our relationship. The day ended back where it all began, in Central Park, where he got down on one knee, followed by a celebratory late lunch at the Central Park Boathouse.

Shopping at Kleinfeld was always a dream for us. Growing up, my mom and I watched Say Yes to the Dress together, so when she flew to New York for my appointment, it felt like such a full-circle moment. I had already tried on some beautiful gowns, and while this dress had caught my eye online, I hadn't even included it in the dresses I planned to try. Our incredible stylist, Steven, listened to everything I was looking for and came back with the dress. I was torn between this gown and another with more lace, so I took a few weeks to think it over. Once I decided, my mom flew back to New York for just 24 hours so she could be there when I officially said yes to the dress. That's also when we found the perfect veil to complete the look. It was such a special memory, and one I'll cherish for the rest of my life.

Our vision was to create a timeless garden party with subtle coastal touches—a celebration that felt elegant, lush, and effortlessly romantic. I wanted to host an event that Martha Stewart would be proud of! More than anything, we wanted our wedding to be an expression of gratitude for the family and friends who traveled to celebrate with us. From our welcome party to the wedding day and farewell brunch, every detail was designed to make our guests feel loved and appreciated, creating an intimate atmosphere filled with joy, meaningful moments, and genuine connection.
One of my favorite moments was slipping away with Matt at sunset to the beach for a few photos and a quiet moment together amid the excitement of the day. Walking down the aisle, I felt completely confident and certain that I was marrying the love of my life—although I did have one fleeting moment of panic when I realized I'd forgotten my bouquet! Looking back, what I'm most proud of is seeing our vision come to life: the beautiful garden setting, the heartfelt vows and speeches, and the overwhelming feeling of love that surrounded us. It was everything we had hoped for and a day we'll cherish forever.
