Verdin Bridal

Gustavo Nunez was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he grew up watching his mother design women’s sportswear and learning about fabrics and garment construction firsthand. That early exposure shaped a lifelong appreciation for craftsmanship, construction, and elegant design, elements that continue to define the VERDIN Bridal aesthetic today.

At a young age, Nunez moved to Los Angeles to pursue fashion, and soon after arrived in New York City with $400 to his name. He began as a pattern maker, quickly rising to Head Pattern Maker and later serving as Atelier Manager and Production Director at leading couture houses including Marchesa and Reem Acra, among others. Through years of refining his expertise in draping, cutting, and construction, he became known for timeless silhouettes with a polished, couture sensibility.

In 2017, Nunez launched VERDIN New York in the heart of New York’s Garment District, naming the brand after his mother Maria, who encouraged him to follow his creative passions. VERDIN expanded into bridal for the fall 2021 season, blending American design traditions with Latin taste and sensibility, and infusing each collection with influences from his Mexican roots as well as New York and Los Angeles. *Please contact us prior to your appointment in order to confirm the availability of a specific style.
