Kleinfeld Love Stories: Angelina & Michael
About the Proposal:
Engaged: December 14, 2024
Michael popped the big question on December 14, 2024 on a rooftop in Midtown, NYC with giant "Marry Me" letters, roses, champagne, a photographer, and the most amazing NYC skyline backdrop. Just when I thought Christmas time in NYC couldn't get any more magical, it did. It was a dream proposal and it was fitting that he proposed in NYC because we spent our first year together falling in love there while I was finishing out my senior year at Berkeley College (Midtown Campus). Following the proposal, Michael surprised me with all my closest friends and family at Elsie Rooftop for an engagement party. He thought of every little detail and it really was a dream come true. It was over the top perfection which he knew is exactly what I would've wanted.
About the Dress:
My dream Pnina Tornai Ballgown- I am sure you get this all the time but I grew up watching Say Yes to the Dress and I studied fashion business marketing and management in College. My dream was to wear a Pnina Tornai ballgown on my wedding day and I got my dream! On June 2, 2025 I attended my VIP Gold appointment at Kleinfeld and brought my Maid of honor, Mom, and two Mommom's to help me pick my gown. After trying on a bunch of options and falling in love with two. I looked at my consultant Gabi and said my worst fear going into this was finding nothing or falling in love with two. After I said that to her, she said I will be right back. When she came back to the dressing room, she was holding a dress that I was unsure about, until I put it on. I instantly started crying and knew it was my dress. It had everything I was looking for- strapless, lace, a little bit of sparkle, a train, lightweight enough so I could move, and most importantly DRAMA. I said Yes to the dress!
About the Wedding:
Married: June 6, 2026
Location: Philadelphia
Venue: The Franklin Institute
Photographer: Mario Oliveto Photography
The Philly Met Gala- We got married on June 6, 2026 at The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul with reception to follow at The Franklin Institute. When I started planning our wedding, I knew I wanted to do something different, I wanted it to be the Philly Met Gala and we did just that. It was an over the top, traditional Italian wedding with some fun details. We had a big wedding party to match with a total of twenty-three of them. Ten bridesmaids, ten groomsmen, one bridesman, and two flower girls. Our wedding morning was at The Logan Hotel where the wedding parties and family got ready. The Logan Hotel, Cathedral, and The Franklin Institute are all located in Logan Square in Philadelphia. This made it very easy for our guests to travel throughout the wedding day and we in fact took over Logan Square that weekend. Our dress code was "Colorful Elevated Black Tie" and our guests did not disappoint, they all arrived dressed to impress. We tied the knot at the Cathedral then took off in a vintage Rolls-Royce Limo. We then arrived at The Franklin Institute where we had 5 custom banners on display out front for our guests and city to see. . Our guests were then greeted at cocktail hour with vegas show girls, electronic violinist, food, open bar, photo booth, guest book, memorial table, my Mom's vintage wedding gown on display, and the entire Franklin Institute exhibit open for them to enjoy. It was a fully immersive experience. Following cocktail hour, the ballroom opened up in which took place in the famous "Ben Room" where the 20 foot statue of Benjamin Franklin is. He was the backdrop of the sweetheart table. The decor in the ballroom was gala style- a lot of gold, crystal, white/light pink flowers, and feathers. For entertainment we had SideArm Band and DJ Brother Mike. We also had "The Philly Sports Guy" Jamie Pagliei MC the grand entrances for wedding party, family, and newlyweds. It was a sit down, formal dinner with a lot of dancing to follow. We also did the traditional cake cutting along with a donut ice cream bar and late night Philly cheesesteaks and bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches. Our cake was by Whipped Bake Shop and was a beautiful 4-tier vintage inspired cake with gold wedding monogram on the front, topped off with flowers on top. Everyone danced the night away and it was truly the best day of our lives. My Pnina gown set the tone and was the perfect dress for our occasion. The pictures speak for themselves.
