Kleinfeld Love Stories: Laura & Vito

After dating for almost 7 years, I didn’t think we would ever get married. He said he didn’t want to get married and it wasn’t a deal breaker for me if we didn’t. We have a beautiful relationship no matter what!

2 years ago we had an epic  road trip through Italy. We had a few things planned and booked but mostly it was spontaneous and based on whims and vibes. Our very first dinner was amazing and we had a really great bottle of wine. We were in Tuscany and found out that the winery was nearby so I reached out to see if we could do a tour or tasting. It was booked for the days we were there… oh well. Our last day in Tuscany, heading out for Bologna I got an email saying they had an opening for a tasting and lunch! And it just so happened to be on our way, so away we went. This place was tiny and GORGEOUS. I made a joke to my boyfriend that if we ever got married, this would be a great spot. We went through the whole tour and lunch and then our host asked Vito and I if we wanted to have our last glass of wine under this beautiful gazebo covered in flowers.. sure why not. She came over with 2 glasses of wine and a plate with a small box on it… I thought it was cookies, it was the ring!

Unbeknownst to me, my husband had bought a ring and brought it on this trip, just hoping he would find the right time to give it to me… and he sure did! It was magical and perfect!

We got married in Sardinia, Italy. We had 95 guests, mostly from the US and had 4 days of celebrations, food, and wine! We had a welcome party on the beach, the wedding day at a villa in the countryside and then the day after, a flamingo themed party at our house!

We also took our guests on a field trip in the middle of the wedding… after the ceremony, we took everyone on a 5 minute drive to some ancient ruins - we had tables with champagne for a toast and got some really amazing photos!

Ps… my husbands reaction to me in this dress was truly priceless! We didn’t do a first look so the first time he saw me was walking down the aisle… it was the best reaction I could have ever hoped for!
