What to Bring

Bring a few key essentials like inspiration photos, proper undergarments, and any items that help you feel your best so you can make the most of your Kleinfeld appointment.

Inspiration

Start gathering inspiration from Instagram, Pinterest, Kleinfeld’s website, or magazines and think about how you want to look and feel on your wedding day. Your dress should reflect your personal style and the most elevated version of you.

We recommend browsing Kleinfeld’s collection online and saving your favorite gowns to your profile. Be sure to share any must-try styles with your bridal stylist during your appointment.

If your inspiration feels scattered, that’s completely normal. Your stylist will help you refine your vision and guide you to the right dress.

A Budget

Consider how much you are willing and able to spend on your gown. Be mindful that elements such as accessories and alterations are additional. Be honest with your personal bridal stylist on your realistic price point.

Here is a great article to help you with the budgeting process.

Proper Undergarments

The only item required for your appointment is underwear, due to state law and sanitation guidelines. Everything else is optional.

Most wedding dresses include built-in structure and support, so a bra is usually not needed. You’re welcome to bring a strapless or adhesive bra if you prefer. Nude, seamless shapewear is also optional and can help you better visualize your final look.

If you’re unsure, bring it with you. Your bridal stylist will guide you on what works best as you try on gowns.

Hair Ties or Clips

Hair ties or clips are optional, but helpful for pulling your hair back so you can better see each neckline and make it easier for your stylist to fit you into gowns.

We also recommend thinking about how you plan to wear your hair on your wedding day, as styling it similarly can help complete your overall vision. Some brides even schedule a hair or makeup trial the same day to enhance the experience.

Shoes

You’ll typically be barefoot during most of your appointment so you can move in and out of gowns easily, though we recommend bringing socks for comfort. Pedestals are available in your fitting room and throughout the showroom to give you added height.

If you plan to wear heels on your wedding day, you’re welcome to bring a pair. Even if they’re not your exact shoes, trying them on with your favorite gown can help complete your look and boost your confidence.

A Supportive Squad

You may bring up to three guests to support you as you say “yes.” VIP appointments allow for additional guests—see our VIP Guide for details. Choose people who will uplift and support your experience.

If you have a larger group, consider including others in moments like accessories appointments or final fittings to keep your experience focused and enjoyable.
