Kleinfeld Love Stories: Samantha & Jay
About the Proposal:
Engaged: March 2025
Our proposal story will always be one of my favorite chapters of our love story. Jay had the ring for a little while and had originally planned to wait for the “perfect” moment. But, apparently, he couldn’t wait any longer. He called my sister and told her he was doing it the very next day. And from that moment, she went into full-on mission mode.
She drove all over South Jersey, from Swedesboro all the way down to Cape May, stopping at every flower shop along the way until she found enough white roses to make the moment exactly what Jay had envisioned. She even found a photographer at the very last minute and somehow managed to have everything planned, set up, and ready to go.
The next day, Jay brought me to the jetty in Avalon… a place that meant so much more to me than just a beautiful spot by the water. It was where I grew up, a place filled with memories from my childhood and a place that had always felt like home. And then, standing there on the beach, surrounded by the ocean, the place I had known my whole life, and the person I wanted to spend the rest of it with, Jay got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He was supposed to wait. But he couldn’t.
And somehow, that makes the story even more perfect, because it was so completely Jay. He knew he had the person he wanted to spend forever with, and he just couldn’t wait another day. From the jetty where I grew up to the man I would grow up with, that moment became the beginning of our forever.
About the Dress:
My wedding dress has always felt like it was meant to find me.
Growing up, I watched Randy Fenoli and dreamed about the day I would get to have my own “say yes to the dress” moment. So when I got engaged, one of the first things I did was look through Randy’s newest collection for that year.
I knew I wanted to get married on the beach, but I still wanted to feel like a princess. And then I saw the dress.
It had the sparkle I had always dreamed of, the princess feel I wanted, and somehow still felt completely right for a beach wedding. But what made it even more perfect was the removable skirt. I could have the full, dreamy bridal look for my ceremony and then take off the skirt for a lighter, more fun look for our beach reception.
It felt like every little detail was made for me the sparkle, the princess moment, the beach, and the two different looks all in one. After growing up watching Randy create so many brides’ dream dresses, getting to wear one of his designs for my own wedding felt like a full-circle moment. It wasn’t just a dress I chose. It felt like the dress had been waiting for me.
About the Wedding:
Married: September 25, 2026
Location: Aruba
Venue: Renaissance Island / Flamingo Beach
Photographer: Steven De Cuba
Our wedding in Aruba was everything we could have dreamed of and more. Aruba had always held a special place in our hearts. It was the first place Jay and I traveled to outside of the country together, and from the moment we arrived, it felt like our little piece of paradise. So when it came time to decide where we would say “I do,” there was really nowhere else that felt quite right.
On September 25, 2026, surrounded by the people we love most, we stood barefoot in the sand with the ocean behind us and promised each other forever. What made it even more special was knowing that this wasn’t just a destination wedding, it was a place that had already been part of our story from the very beginning.
From the sunshine and palm trees to the flowers, the music, the laughter, and dancing the night away by the water, every detail felt like us. It was romantic, fun, a little bit tropical, and completely unforgettable.
We traveled all the way to Aruba to get married, but somehow, standing there together, it felt like we had come home. Our favorite place became the place where we became husband and wife and I don’t think we could have written a more perfect chapter to our love story.
